Uhm, "Illbient" as not Dark Ambient. Illbient is annoying "intellectual" "ambient" like Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin. To me the music is as bad as the name for it.

just to name a few .....of course this ones are really solid artists working for years now ....maybe the term now could not make sense because there are a lot of fusions where this particular style can be found,related with idm or simply ambient or even dark ambient ..........hey chilling spirit for the names you use i would say that you are the master of intelectuallity...trance4ever,chilling spirit.......how clever.........instead of telling bad about of you consider intelectual(for me you just dont have the capacity to understand it and because of that your ego try to minimize what the others created(they even dont think about if this is intelectual or not,they just do what they love,its your statement man)

meh...they're all right; i don't dislike them. but whats so special about them? IMO, any of the top psy-ambient artists blow them out of the water in terms of production quality or originality
i think they're just perceived as being so amazing because they're on bigger labels with higher promotional budgets |

or maybe because they have been doing their own style of electronic music for about 20 years,influenced many of todays producers and because they are actually capable of writing something that can be called piece of music. |
