What a great (des)organization of Celebra Brasil. brought 2 u by etnicanet.

I just would like to express my great respect to the organizer of Celebra Brazil. the festival is about to kick-off in a week's time and here is a list of what the organization has done to us.
1) Venue - Since the start Young (etnicanet) has been promising us a party in paraty (a small village in the out surts of Rio de Janeiro) here is the picture of the venue -> http://www.paraty.com.br/prainha.htm (awesome venue) but 2 days ago the venue had to be changed to this one -> http://www.fazendaarujabel.8m.com (PLEASE LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE) well we will be able to benefit from swiming pools, slides, a football pitch and a bunch o buildings. that's just great.
2) Tickets - Tickets are being sold for the price of R$160 (please check the line-up for celebra brasil here is the link -> http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php?topic=11627&forum=27&84) Solaris dance festival which had a better venue and a better line-up tickets were being sold for R$90 (half the price) please check the solaris dance festival line-up -> http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php?topic=10452&forum=27&122
3) Lack of communication - since the start their was a great lack of information and comunication between organizers and the public, the website is still lacking info -> http://www.celebrabrasil.com
People are also going to have a similar festival of this in portugal, brought to u guys by who? yes etnicanet. I would just like to warn you portugueses of what has happen.
What are the people supposed to do if they already bought the tickets to Paraty (Rio de Janeiro)? what are the people supposed to do if they booked b&bs in Paraty for the festival?
Do the organizers care? it looks as if not. NEVER more for CelebraBrasil.

thanks for your concern Gilad, but like me thousands of brazilians already tried to communicate with the organizers through email, and we havent got a response.

It's a shame Luiz... Producers must stop messing with the Brazilian public. I have brought tickets to Rio and now I'm gonna change it to SP. I have been waiting for a festival on the beach since last year and have been saving money for this for a long time.
Celebra will be the most expensive festival of Brazil's history and it has no beach, no forest, no infra...
So SAD! Many people that saved their money for it wont be going anymore...
And I still hope to hear from etnicanet...

Eclipse Festival in africa, a joint collaboration between Etnicanet, Alien Safari and Vortex, was the most ridiculous price ever...

Well good job Luiz, this is very very constructive indeed.
I have tried SO hard to respond to your CONTINUOUS attacks as pollitely as possible, but you keep doing this - pubic insults to us on an international forum like this.
About SA2002 - ALL the people who complained about the price at the entrance of the festival - where the etnicanet team worked without getting sleep - later made the point to come to us and THANK us for such a wonderful festival - genuine vibe and top music. They told us it was ALL worth the money we charged.
You must understand that the location of the SA2002 Eclipse Festival was in the middle of the African Bush - we had to BUILD NEW ROADS out of NOTHING in order to let vehicles reach the place. The poorer the country - the more security we need - and the security crew was huge. the poorer the country - the more infrastructure and the more construction. People working with us were at the venue FOUR MONTHS before the actual event, BREAKING THEIR BACKS under the African sun in order to BUILD the whole festival location (that means houses and sleeping facilities and a few other PROPER BUILDINGS). And all of this work has a price.
The audience wants a venue to be as wild as possible, as close to nature as possible - so we listen and bring you to a place you would have never been able to PARTY in before - we had to build fences around the whole venue so that wild animals (yes - lions and elephants) would not disturb the festival safety - we hired hunters and more locals to keep an eye on snakes etc and keep fires on all night to keep the ´beasts´ away from the party people. All of this is work, and the work has a price.
The location we built was so successful that the local tribes people have started to use it for schools and educational facilities for the children of the tribe (read the article written on the new International edition of the Mushroom mag).
Luiz, now that people have started to tell u to calm down and tone down your useless posts on the OFFICIAL Celebra thread, you run away and post this shit on another thread - you thought we wouldnt find out?? Some moderators are sending me private messages because your tone is so RUDE, telling me i should have a look at your little personal vendetta against us.
All I had to say - I´ve said on the official Celebra thread (in the Brasilian section). All i want to say now is that for us the change of venue from Paraty to the new venue was a huge blow, and the amount of stress and work that went into Celebra is beyond words and probably beyond your understanding (this i say because i´ve read all your posts against us).
I know that you´re probably gaining something out of badmouthing Etnicanet - maybe you´re helping out some other organisation who feels in competition towards us - I didnt want to give your attacks too much attention but I see that you´re gaining quite a following, so I will respond to all who´ve supported your attacks:
to judge our work, you must come and see for yourself - how much energy was given to the public during all our festivals, past and present.
then if your judgment is negative, then, just as i´ve respectfully moderated my discontempt with all your attacks and insults - you should have a little respect as well and BE CONSTRUCTIVE with your criticisms.
because you can´t just spit bullshit on hard work that has been done for so many years and is still going on.
again - thanx to all who´ve stayed close to us and supported us so much, all help and words were greatly appreciated.

...and by the way - the pictures you posted of the fazenda completely mislead the people. It is a beautiful venue with the advantage of all facilities to make it more comfortable.
of course we know that for Brasilian partypeople it is nothing out of the ordinary, but as i´ve said in the other forum, we were cornered by the Municipality of Paraty, who left us with the overwhelming task of finding a new location in a very small amount of time, and the Brasilian side of our organisation did their best to find a location that would be made SAFE (which i understand is another issue for big, international festivals in Brasil). |

To A.Rosengren and Coombsey - JUST AS YOU´VE SAID - it was a joint collaboration between 2 South African organisations and Etnicanet.
How is it you´re so convinced and attack ETNICANET for a party that was organised by THREE DIFFERENT organisations?? Do you know 100% that WE had complete control of all price decisions?
Some people try too hard to make it a point to insult us and put us down - I WONDER WHY..................... |
