listening to saikosound clip.. it definately has the old feel... but with the full on elements i dont think it meshes well  need those phat basses!
overall it feels weird imo. not extrodinary good.. not total shit.. |

ok they had a few commercial tracks back in time ...or you find dancing galaxy to be commercial ??? ... it has sell most copies than any album from this scene if that is what you think ...it is ''normal''
trance but i won't called it commercial or euro ...
in the begining astral was israeli goa trance ... today it is israeli disco ...no trance ... and that isn't funny

What i define as commercial has nothing to do with dancing galaxy. It was good music at the time. commercial is what they did with Zahava Ben and Knesiat ha sechel. It was bad. In fact thir music between 'anything is possible' and 'Open sociaty' was bad effort of that commercial full on. Im not saying that commercial is always wrong! Infected did one good commercial project with Barry sackarof which was good b 4 they Trend to the Total pop trance music.
I'm not a big fan of Full on I barley listen to it in the last 2 years but their track is something special.

ok ok we will hear...when the time comes ...i thought you are pointing in those few tracks as commercial ...
but i don't like their melodies over this full on concept like in prophecy ... it kills all the feeling !

I;m not getting it. I see people often say "it was good back then or it ment something 10 years ago".
Good music is like wine. The older the better. I think astral's music from 90's perspective is better every year...

I said it because today it just has not the same effect on me like in 1999-2000. Music can't stay the same for long period. Goa for me isn't music without time; it's music of the past - good music which I left behind. But earlier music like Shpongle 1st album is timeless for me I will hear in 20 years from now.
It's all about personal taste.
FullGoa (sorry for the lame name) Optokoppler (1st album) and Astral's new music it the right goa evolution.

yeah. i agree. it sounds like a modification of the style full-on with wideê goa-elements and its quite good direction. optokoppler and digicult shows it brightly.

A (modern) Full-on baseline sounds crappy in my opinion. At least a Goa baseline has it purpuse of not dominating the track. trip-flip-kick
- I guess I'm sceptic but shouldnt speak before I've heard the track(s) my self. |

i simply don't understand why Astral don't make serious music any more.....If they want to change their style i think they should do it in a more ''advanced'' style....Not that crappy full on....Why all the other old groups do that and Astral don't?.....i really can't understand....But they know better than me.....i hope they find their way.... |
