weird problem with Delta 1010 soundcard and Reason 2.0

This is a pretty specific question, but:
I'm having a weird problem with the Delta 1010 soundcard and Reason 2.0. With all other apps closed, I switch the latency to be 384 samples in the hardware settings tab of the Delta control panel. Everything is fine so far, and my sequencer (Sonar 5) works great with this setting.
However, I then open reason, and Reason highjacks the sound card settings!! If I then reopen the delta control panel and look at the latency, it has been reset to 1024 samples. Basically, just launching Reason somehow alters the setting. Needless to say, this screws up everything else in my setup.
I have even checked off the box called "Disable audio app use of control panel". One would think that that would prevent this....
Anyone ever had this happen to them before? This is driving me crazy!! thanks in advance for any info.

I just figured it out.. writing the post helped me think through it!!
It was a very specific problem: I have two M-Audio soundcards on my system, 1) the 1010 and 2) the 2496. Apparently, when Reason uses the M-audio ASIO driver, it resets the latency of ALL soundcards to that of the last one installed. So, setting both cards to 384 samples fixed the problem.
Talk about an obscure problem. Well, hopefully if someone else has this issue they will find my post!! Now, on to actually writing music. I swear I spend more time with this driver sh*t...!!!
