Hello!
I am trying to know more about making sites, hosting and stuff. but still i have many doubts
Maybe someone could help me with some doubts, give some tips...

I was looking to make a site about entheogens, and an ayahuasca project we have here related to planting the vegetals..
also music and artists that would like to suport the project

you shpuld purchase domain name and hosting account.
today usual price shouldnt be more then 1000$ for 10 years deal on that. and u should get alot of space for that money.
as for design , for non-expirienced person , the best will be to use templates... that should cost around 5-15$ a month on top of the rest. or if u can build your own code then no need to pay that. designer and web master will cost much more anyhow.
i use godaddy.com service and its working pritty cool
my site is not up yet , it was with the template and was ok but now we work on huge flash site that will be 10 times better then the template one...

start with some basic html coding..Its really fast and easy to start, you have some code up and running in some hours...
Also, check source from other sites to see how they have done things...
If you dont want to learn any html,go for WYSIWYG editor like: Frontpage, Dreamweaver or any other....

I can recommend playing with Microsoft Expression Web (The new frontpage).
Here you can "draw" your website and see the code very easy.
other than that, you can try searching for some templates (google : Free web templates). Download one you like, then open it in expression web or frontpage. Try studying the code of the template and see how the code changes, when you change things in the layout editor.

hey thnx for the tips XuN!
Didnt know this soft (microsoft expression web), gonna look for it. I have been trying to make some stuff with "bluevoda", its easy to make some pages, but when it goes to put it online, host and stuff, i get lost. |
