my image is a JPEG, 5 kb, 140x140px! i tried several different ones, still get the error.
i even tried saving your avatar and the uploading it, surrender, and it still wouldn't let me.
i can't even select a flag, it gives me this error: Cannt Update Picture from flag.

hey, cut me some slack, i used the word "JPEG" as a general reference to the file type.
my file's extension is .jpg (lowercase).
waiting for the tech support crew to look into this issue.

hrm well...
the only other thing i can think of is maybe browser compatibility issues.
have you tried it on IE and Firefox?
you're a smart dude so i dunno why it aint workin. it may be somethin goin on server-side.
