i remeber back in 2000-1997
you can get any cd that was realesd
in stores here in israel today you have to ordr it from shop's online
i say why?
and i know many ppl down load music by net
and if you down load a cd and realy loveing it so BUY IT! suppret the artists and labels that you realy love
the point is i want to come to a store and to buy what i realy want
what we have to do to make it happen again? |

It is difficult but the only solution that I see is to make something aganist the rip problem , think about it . . ppl get / buy the original cd and than they copy it to the computer , since than the album run all over the world for free.
I know it is very difficult but posiblle ! |

Go to shops, annoy the shops owners to get more trance realeses on the shelves. Show them it has demand... !
I don't how much it will help, but it sure will help more than just complaining on the net (no offence)  |

A while ago, I was in some music store in TA, searching for an album and of course all I see on the shelves was either commercialized albums or old albums.
So, I talked to one of the salesmen and I told him what I was looking for and turns out that he was able to order it. It took only about 3 weeks for it to arrive and I didn't have to pay money for extra shipping.
So as Dark_Dork said, annoy the shop owners.

and when the shop owners start taking orders, over time they will see what kinds of music / labels / artists people are ordering, and might get a better idea of what to stock their shelves with and then people will be happier with the selection.

I wrote about this problem almost 2 years ago and nothing changed. As far as i know there's only 1 shop in Tel Aviv area that sells new Psy CDs that are not Hommega/BNE/Trancelucent/Com.Pact/USTA and that is Krembo, which has a very nice variety and even several DVD titles!!! But infortunatelly rest of the stores are only selling local releases and almost no foreign new releases. Maybe some Twisted/Tip.World/Dragonfly material for ridiculous 90 Shekels price and some oldies for less than that.
I buy psy only online now. That's frustrates the shit out of me, not because of a price which is usually less than in store (incl. shipping) but because i have to wait to much time to get it.

peter.d you truly right... i remember those days
even then *imported* psy trance was 89 nis per cd (18 us$)
BUT and it's big but... i dont know how you aware (and if you are local) but couple of month ago i was at the "thana mercazit" (central bus station which is also a mall) and i saw there wonderfull dark psy trance most of it was stuff *you cant* get at stores here and it was 25 nis (5 us $)
ofcourse all is ilegal copys ,the costs are fast internet connection and empty media's + good printer
and btw from a small conversation i had with the seller he told me it sells quit good comperasion to
r&b ,hiphop, dance ,and the rest of the commercial crap
