Trouble is, by around April Australia tends to get a bit wet and parties are risky. A lot of people over the years have lost money on large outdoors parties around April - people simply don't go. Generally from November until March is the best season for parties, and they grow in size and then fade away again. There was just a large party down near Melbourne called Alien Earth. Whether or not it was a festival depends on your definition, but there was camping and it went for two nights.
See, now is the time where we get more smaller, intimate parties. It's quite nice actually - you'll find that faces become more familiar, and by the time the next festival season comes around you know so many people so well that the festivals themselves are a lot more enjoyable. I love festivals, and I love the small parties too. |
