We Need A Time! (Producer question)

Hi ppl!
Im start music creation 2 months ago and tks god im bring on the Bass Lines(Uhuuu). Now i need u to talk about another Basic Produc question: What the time(compass) for an good psytrance? I think in 32beats but i can see double 16beats doing the 32beats job. So, can i make Psytrance musics with 16beats(in double) but some sounds im do in 32beats? Like this: Bass Lines in 16beats and Synth in 32beats?
Can u help me to understand the music time?

Ok im go 2 32beats(double16beats), but can i do this 3, 4, 5X in same music? How long the time 4 repeat the "loops" or "frames"?

do whatever you feel like and you will be happy with what you create.
if you make it set on a structure that you dont feel, when its done you wont like it.
but none the less, just listen and learn, every REAL producer does it a little diffrent from all the rest!

Hmmm im doing this but... I think in get inside the system(structure music) and them break this.
Like Fight Club idea, we get inside and them do the job.
98% of the psytrance tracks have the same structure. If i learn this basic struture i can put my style in action.
Whem i learn the songs i see:
º16beats bass lines.
º16beats in high noises.
*º32beats with Synth.
ºAfter this 32beats we have some break stuffs with 4beats and them go 2 28beats so we have another 32beats time.
So Psytrance have the 32beats in 98% of the tracks repeat 4 how long u want.
*But the question is, Can i do the Synth job in 16, 32 our 64beats? This question coming with my problem, i cant do 64 beats in FLStudio our can i? |

Ta foda aqui viu. Nunca fiz aula de musica e to aprendendo tudo sozinho. Na verdade eu tocava guitarra a muito tempo atraz mas... O dificil ta na estrutura da coisa mesmo. Quando eu falei dos compassos era para vcs verem q estou realmente analisando as musicas. Ja fiquei um mês sem parar, todos os dias, analisando Bass Lines e Compassos. Até que enfim chegue na afinação que eu queria(mas pode melhor com ctz).
As musicas que estou fazendo estão ficando legais mas ainda tenho muito o q aprender pra chegar onde quero. Se tudo der certo com ctz vamos nos ver nos 2% sim.
O lance de criar uma estrutura serve tb para eu poder ficar variando os Synths e outros "noises" para assim, poder me entrosar(aprender) mais.
Vcs usam o FLStudio tb? Sera que vcs podem me dar uma força?
Obs: SMS, u have the high-endrecords.com link in u post. For me, this is the best Psytrance record in Brazil. Allmost great artists from Brazil have they musics over there. I love the Tropical Storm cd. Best of for me until now! |

Kavarez i didn't say that as a typical rtfm. it's just an advise i give to everyone cause i've learned so much because i listen a lot to psy. i think one of the most common difficulties in home producers (as us all) is the arrangement (i talk a lot of times about this when i comment a track, but i can't tell them what's wrong or whats good cause i have no idea, cause when i make it i forget all the rules, just make it flow). my advise is follow no rules at least in arrangement... music theory and mixing have their rules but arrangement is your will. but just a small guide i think you know this already (pela tua maneira de falares... nao ha muita gente que fale de compassos aqui hehe).
The basis is the 4beats = 1 bar. This is the basis of most dance music (for me cause i can't listen to DnB and breakbeat lol). Then there's the ammount of bars a "part" has (nao sei dizer em ingles mas em portugues e 1 tempo) which for trance is generaly 8 bars. This guideline is the only you have to follow. Now the lenght of each pattern is a divider of it (again wrong vocabulary i guess) which means each bassline,lead,percursion, break, whatever pattern must have 1bar (more for bass and percursion but also for those groovy breaks hehe), 2 bar (bass and percursion but also leads), 4 bar (leads), 8 bar (leads and breaks), 16 bar (more for breaks and buildups). it's your choice! |
