NY Erkers Time to stop thinkgin about drugs and fluff and start realizing how many killer talented artists are around the world...Of course for the similar taste and color is hard to find a friend as we say in Russia but its possible..Try smth new, try new muzik something more underground and interesting.. All i see is same old names of artists over and over ...hope 1 day people will realize and give a new school creator a chance.....Give your support to people who try to make it happen together you can definetly reach an agreement. Overall the point is try smth new it won't hurt you for sure.....
RESPECT TO ORGANIZERS WHO TRY OR WILL TRY...ID BE HAPPY TO RETURN TO CITY AND ENJOY KILLER PARTY!!!
P.S. sorry for caps....just realized now and i dotn wanna lose my thought so i wont wririte ..ok???? dont get angry im not shouting just trying to make a point!!!

caps lock text modified... beacuse i like u nikki please dont do it again.

the problem is that everytime this was tried.... and it wasnt really tried alot it sort of failed.... TDC in my mind is the only crew that tried to bring a more underground lineup... they didnt do too well... nyc has this problem in that sense because usually the venues you throw parties at are either asking for bar guarentees or if they work with you and know you pull in a certain # of people - they give u the space.
also it depends what the promoter/organizer has in mind for the vision of their party. are they out to make a profit? are they out to break even and provide what they believe is "their sound"? would they not mind losing money?
depending on how those questions are answered u have your conclusion as why no "underground" acts come here often. most of the organizers (including myself in the past) are not interested in losing money.... i for one am not some millionaire with free time to burn and a passion for trance parties. if i put in the time to set up a party that means im not doing something else to generate $... something i need at this point in my life as i am only 26 and am not financially secured.
venues are a problem indeed - take for example club exit... they dont ask for any $ from anyone, simply they count on you to bring them people... but if your crowd doesnt drink in their bar, and trance people dont..... they fill up their 5$ bottle of water 4 times in the bathroom and once in a blue moon buy a beer... its simply not worth the club to be open until 8am, not with your party people anyway.
its funny, i used to talk to club owners about their venues and their questions would be something like: "how many champagne bottles a night? do you need private booths?" - they are operating a business in one of the most expensive cities in the world, not exactly leaving them room for shanti shanti baba boom attitude with people who dont spend their money on the club's reality shift drinks... rather they spend it on their own reality shift drugs....
do the math... unless its outdoors like the pine barrens people.... its not going to be underground- to prove that is that even the TDC is bringing Atomic Pulse because they recognize that in order to pull the people to even cover the costs, a compromise needs to be made.
thats my 2 cents for now...
