record to external device? like Dat or through a mixer and back to some other program maybe...
i think Colin would know better which ways there exists..

i only use export as of now...
but i think there are some other ways..

like some people record their synths from a external source like micing up some other speaker or bass amplifier... to get some character to their sound...and also i heard not so digital...

first..when you exprot the midi to wav,in the dialog you have an option where to export it..you dont need to export and then import it again..

second thing-better way is to open an audio file and record the midi.sounds better.

orca - like when you record on the fly with for example a external synth?

is it good to do this with vst synths aswell?
like connecting a audio channel and monitor the signal and record it on the fly?

i must try and hear if it sounds different.

Offtopic..
yesterday i did a simple test...
i checkd a kick in both FL studio, Cubase and adobe audition.. and the kick sounded clearest and loudest in adobe audition.. then cubase came after then FL...
very strange how they can sound so different from each program... any good explaination?

the programs all are coded with diffrent codecs, all which decode the same data types. If they wanted to use the same decoder code, they would have to buy it from a company which lisences theirs, which might not be fast enough, or sound good enough for their use. So they make their own.

usually the quality is based on the time put in to the code, and the time put in to the code is based on the money the company can spend.

In this case, it makes sense why Adobe > Bubase > Fruity Loops           G+ - Army Collective - Kontakt Recordings

DJ Kontakt - thanks for your input, it sounds logic..

it would be real cool if adobe audition expanded and became a full featured sequencer... with midi and all kinds of nice features...

1.better to record it then mixdown it,in vsti too-the level is stronger, and its more accurate(small thing somtimes but make a difference:)
2.to answer the offtopic-each software has its sound color..like every eq,compressor etc..you just need to choose your favorite color.
