Hey ppl,

I have some very serious problem installing the waves bundles. So will explain all the procees so if anybady has the same problem and can help me.
I install the sofware, obviously everything goes fine until I start Logic. It loads the plugs but when it comes to the part of evaluation the directx plugs.. it just crashes.. so. I was told the problem is cuz waves plugs, have incompatibility with other directx plugs so I've went to the Pluginmanager of Logic (the small soft that comes with it) and disabled all other directx plug. well after this no change.. Logic stil crashes. I found a patch. wavesdxfixer.exe. when i applyed it it seems to do nothing but it does! At last my Logic didnt crashed. but... another problem. When i go to insert some vst I found some surprises... The Waves Do Not Appear like vst but just a WAVESHELVST... and if I open it it shows me just one plugin of waves.. and no way to reach the others!!! the only way is via dricetx... But.. if I use the Waves as directX I CANNOT MAKE AUTOMATION!!! aaargh... I'm desperate! please. If somebody knows how to fix this issue.. will be greatfull!
also I've noticed that if I use waves as drectx some og the plugs generates some cliks

Waves and Logic have always had issues so forget it, load the plug in manager and disable them. the plug in magaer might crash a couple of times so be patient.

i dont´think theres a solution here,rather than use logic without waves or move to cubase if u really want them.

If you are using Waves ver 5 then it won't work -

It seems that before version 5, Cubase had problems loading the new Waveshell directory DLL though Logic didn't. Then Waves released version 5 and a new version of waveshell, which made Cubase work fine but Logic couldn't load the waveshell anymore - and Waves didn't bother fixing that problem ever since.

Please use Waves version below 5.

i was afraid of this veredict...

yeah and its logical.. waves 5 was out after logic left to be a PC platform.. so its logical.. anyway. I still can see the plugs as directx. if I use the maxbass or the Rbass there is no problem. they function just fine... the problem is with the compressors, but... whatever.. will use others and the C4 will use just on final mastering.. in wavelab or soundforge... if I want to use the dopler or whatever freaky filter.. well will bounce a sample and thats it. Anyway.. will chek the Waves 4 to see if the problems persists...

Move out of the vst folder the waveshell.dll then start Logic Audio and see if you can still see the waves plugins, if you do, just delete the dll.

Dont delete the waveshell-vst 5.0.dll

just the waveshell.dll

Let me know if it worked.
