my honest suggestion is to not use both at all and get a good bass just like that.
Its very possible! So do it ! When you get this step you can then try eq it. maxxbass and camelphat too early for you or in other words begginers mistake you might not need it at all in your productions ever if you can make a decent bass just like that and you dont need more then one wave a filter and 2 env one for filter and one for amlitude.
wish u luck

Maxxbass is used for precise placing of the sub freqs, or bass freqs.
There are many knobs and features but there are 2 main parameters, the maxxbass and original bass.
They corespond to each other and the main purpose is to "double" the bass so its sounds fat.
It can be used both in making the bassline and in mastering, but u must know what you are doing! Otherwise you will have very bassy mix without room for mid and high freq's.
When mastering tracks, the aim is to make a mix that will sound good on all sound systems, from big festival systems, to your tiny cheap pc speakers and headphones.
The original bass cannot be heard on most of the sound systems in our homes, so for having a good bass - maxxbass is used to make a fake bass in the midd-bass range around 30 - 300 hz (most ears and minds don't really make the diffrence in this range because sub bass is more felt than heared.
I hope this clears the dilema for someone, use maxxbass when u want to add precise subs when eq just dont work and be super carefull with it and use analyzers!

Okey, i now understands that my panning issue with maxx bass is because i have been using the mono version of maxx bass on a stereo channel .
I have also discovered that i have been using a mono EQ on stereo channels which some times have caused panning issues.
Why is it that mono plugs can create panning changes when applied on a stereo channel ? And can one use a mono plug sometime on a stereo channel if its sounds good without any panning issues etc without destroying the sound?
I understand that one should use stereo plugs on stereo channels . which i will do from now on, but i mean in like old stuff, if one already have applied mono plugs and it sounds good, how important is it to change or can one skip that and keep them ?
