waves 5.0 diamond install problems

Hello all....
I am a logic 5.5 user. And i just tryed to install the diamond 5.0 from waves...
The thing is all those waves packs come with the same problem in the install... at least so far i experienced in all versions dont know why.
This one is no different...
i installed it and opened logic.... ok, at first it gave me the same message all previous versions of the pack gave me originally "waves x.0.dll not found" for all the plugins he tryed to load. (note that this happened still while logic is opening. Not inside when u try to load the vst in the channel).
OK... unistalled, reistalled, restarted the computer.
Open logic again.... Now the message about the dll did not happen...
But when logic is trying to load the direct show vsts the program goes "illegal operation" and closes....
I cant even open the program now. (note that if i uninstall the pack i dont have this problem, logic works and opens fine).
Anybody knows the solution ??
(i had this problem before and i instaled it sucefully before also. I did something that i cant remember now, but i had a way of dealing with this problem. Just forgot it how, hahahaha)

Maybe it works when you
uninstall
reboot
install
(?) i am not using logic, but have heard about problems with it. But waves 5.0 should work with it.

hi man try this:
go to your Waves folder. and press on the remove DSP process. after that go to your plug in enabler in logic and see if you have any of the plugins twice, if you do cancel one of them.
for me it worked.

I dont know what u mean by remove dsp process. Is that a file in the waves folder ?
cause if it is, im sorry but there seems to be no file with this name.
I have two waves folders, one located in the logic vstplugins folder.
And one in the default folder where most programs are installed.
In the instalation of the pack they ask u where to instal the waves pack twice. One for the files of the pack itself and the other is for your vst folder.
In the first time i instalated, i browsed both times to the logic vst folder.
Then i had the problem "waves 5.0.dll not found" for all the waves plugins of the pack (dla, deesser, l1, l2, trueverb, maxxbass, etc...) logic tryed to load in its initialization.
Then i unistalled.
In the second time i instaled like this : the first browse in the default folder. And second browse in the logic vst folder. Then i didnt get the "waves 5.0.dll not found" problem anymore.
But in both times my logic crashes over "illegal operation".
Maybe now its more easy to understand whats going on here.
Anybody ??? help ! uaheuhaueahhea

logic audio has got a plugin enabler/controler
the plugin enabler tests all plugins, and detects the ones that causes logic crash
this operation can require some minutes, and sometimes you need to do it twice, until the plugin window opens and you can see the plugins that the plugin enabler disabled.
it works fine with me

the removeDSPprocess file is suppose to be in the default folder, not in your logic folder. the best as was said above if you dont find it, go to tech support waves. |

I'm pretty sure its the plugin enabler.
This enables to use the plugins as DirectX and with waves vsts causes this problem, i also had this problem for ages, and i solved it like this
in windows try going to
Start > Logic Audio > Tools > PlugEnabler
You'll see that most waves plugins are duplicated.
Disble one of each so the won't be duplicated (you can also disable them all, this will only disable DIrectX, not vst)
At this moment I have ALL plugins in the plugin enabler Disabled and its working fine in logic as vst |

ahh one thing i forgot...
after you run logic the first time after instaling it shows the error file. after that it doesn't show again because it saved in the config file that situation and so it won't show the message again
before you do what I told in last post you need to uninstall the waves plugins, restart the pc and then open logic.
install waves again and do the plugenabler thing BEFORE opening logic.
after doing it, you can open logic
P.S. if you have the option in waves installer not to install direct show, don't install it.

in the last post i forgot to say to close logic again before installing the waves plugins (so it saves a new confg file without them)

I tryed to do this before your post with diamond 5.0, but the plugin enabler was crashing all the time so i couldnt do it.
But i was sitting down with almost all my hope lost after hours of trying all imaginable things and i decided to try this with the platinum 4.0 that was presenting the same problems, and it worked.
: )))))))))))))))))))))))))
maybe i'll try doing it again with diamond tomorrow (im really tired now, hehhehehe)
maybe i did something wrong the first time.
