Hi dudes, so,

I´m trying for a few days and not even with the instructions manual I can figure out how to cut frequencies out of this field: 20hz - 20khz.
If anyone can help...

Thanxx

EQ!! (get an EQ vst)

Well... an eq can make 'notches' in the freq. spektrum so you can reduce anywhere in between 0 - 20000 hz.
The Q governs how far the area around the particular frequency is affected.
Lo-pass EQ allows low frequencies through - i.e. cuts of frequencies above it
Hi-pass EQ allows high frequencies through cutting off the low end...

hope this answers your question

Peace

To cut all frequencies in the range 20Hz - 20KHz by a specific amount, reduce the volume of the sound by that amount

(20Hz - 20KHz is pretty much the full frequency range of a sound at 44.1KHz sample-rate)

Thanxx Colin and NiKC,

You were very helpful, I have just another small question:

How usually are recorded the final masters of trax,
who are made to the market, I mean who will be sold, which frequency field is used to them. I always thought that is used an standard ( 20hz - 20khz ) is that right?

The frequency range of a digital sound is determined by its sampling rate, which for a CD is 44.1KHz. Nyquist's theorem states that the maximum frequency which can be accurately represented is half the sample-rate, so at 44.1KHz the highest frequency that can be represented is 22.05KHz.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
