Wav -> mp3 = muddy??

Hey there.
My premastered wav (L3 + PSP Master Q) sounds good to me and my friends ears. Now I had to resize it to a 96k mp3 for myspace, and there's a big quality loss. Do I have to eq the mp3 again?

MySpace sound just sucks. There isn't much you can do about it but try to upload at the highest bit rate you can because MySpace recompresses it after you upload. :-/

Use lame mp3 encoder and make sure you have all the compression params on "quality high".

They probably take your mp3 and recompress it with something such as Sorensen Squeeze, or another one of those odd schemes flash can use to make audio data tiny.
