I belive Jesus existed he's mentioning in almost all big religions is one sign that it is quite probable. Personaly I think he was a freak that has a strong talent to preach and convice of good things along his ways. I doubt he died on the cross and ressurected though. I more of think him as a good harmless wise hippy that smoked probably and has a good vision and a mighty talent to influence lots of people with good vibes.

I agree with you. I think the "historical" Jesus was a simple person with some genious insights. A prophet, to say in religious terms.
What happened to his image later - it's a different story. But I do believe he, the person, existed and was not simply made up.
But then (appropriate for this date) was JFK the kind of person they portray in mass media? Or any prominent figure of the past. Especially if his/her life ended before its time. Powerful interests will always use (and abuse) those life stories for their benefit. Nothing new. |

Jesus was a hippie, then some power sick people twisted his mesage (specially a guy called San Agustin) to justify the church and it's power.
