And that reminds me, I have very little old dub in my collection - it's all modern. but some of the oldies are still goodies.

Yeah, I've recently had that realization myself. I love love love dub, but don't haven't listened much to the acts that made the modern stuff possible. I started digging a bit over the past month or two and have found some artists/songs that I'm enjoying quite a bit. Hrm, I wonder of a "Classic Dub" (90's and earlier) thread might not ruffle too many feathers since it does tie in with some of the music often discussed in this forum.
