Can't get enough of this album, and it's brilliant in the car! |

even if I knew many of the tunes from a couple of years, I was exited by this release.
I actually played very often during this time their tunes and the ones going under the project Friends Electric (my favourite to be honest, their remix of Pitch Black is amazing) ...and every time I got asked by someone of the audience what was the music that I was playing...so I kind of knew that when Bill and Tom were going to release this...it was going to be an hit.
I reckon that if this album was released 2 years ago it was an absolute killer....now it may sound a bit outdated in some episodes (probably because I knew them from before)...but even if some of the tunes are a bit "classic" for my personal taste....it's a very good album...
and from the crystal and warm details and the originality of the sound design, you can spot that those guys are turning knobs from quite a while...
this is what I call proper psydub...or psychill if you want...
like it is supposed to be and to sound...instead of much of this rancid and epic stuff that is going under that name.
my favourite is obviously Warp dub....and Wonderland too.
for sure the best psydub release of the year.
probably one of the best in this style since the Liquid Dub days.
ps. I am honoured that they asked me a remix.

(with a reference to the other hit topic of the moment about mr Ott liveset)
I forgot to mention that their liveset is proper too.
we shared the stage few times and
Bill and Tom are not just 2 cool dudes behind their shiny laptops...they are pushing lots of buttons...playing live electronic percussions...it's not a smart "playback" but they actually doing a proper "electronic" liveset...
swetting a lot...
ps2. best title of the millennium "There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain will never improve, and that's here." Aldus |

Hey Maux, what's the remix you're working on for them? Is it available anywhere yet?
Sounds like a good combination to me...

thanks for the feedback all
btw, just between us, the title track is an adaption of one of the finest dub tunes ever made - scientist's "dematerialize", taken from his "scientist meets the space invaders" album |

I like this album quite a bit. I always seem to find myself coming back to it to listen to Nowhere Dub. |
