I use Hd 650s there great, but just for quick reference on bass Freqs, rumble and balance etc thas all, providing u get the right balance on the monitors first then Tweak subtly on headphones if say at night shouldnt be a problem aslong as u leave the Bass Freqs alone and other certain Freqs alone?

use them as reference

I don't really trust software like that, they've posted here before and some people had some interesting replies.

i work in headphones most of the time for last 2 or even 3 years. I always check and make corrections on monitors, but most of production is headphones / nighttime.

I can advice you the following:
just make music and backup your projects.
When you have a chance, you can always make corrections to the sound. I personally can never be sure that ther track is ok, until i have listened it on monitors, although lately i need to make very small corrections...

You can't achieve good volume, freqs and stereo balance in headphones if you don't have experience in AB comparison.

So don't waste your time on making "perfect" sound. Focus more on music and arrangement - you will fix your mixing when you get to your monitors. Forget EQ's, compressors etc... =)

One more thing: going to your friend that has monitors and trying to mix your track there is also a waste of time, because monitors af any quality make sense only in case if you know them good.

make some beats and basslines that sound good on your monitors before you go ,use them to do your tracks on headphone so you don t have lot of mixing to do on the finished tracks.(and/or use some settings of older tracks u know sound ok,don t start a track with a empty project you could have lot of work to do in the end )

Ok...but why???
What is the different???
We can uses A/B comparison with a pro track...
I now that is not the best way to do it....but...im my case even with my monitors i dont like the quality of my sound yet....and one year without trying make better "quality" is to much time...
I now that ours advices is true....i now that, but for example, if you can say me sommething like.....
"In your phones you gona lisen a bass with more bass so do not cut too much, our you gonna lisen more the hig mid range of your synths"
Sommething like that....guide lines...
Really thanks guys            Main Fusion aka Dj Adhara

I use AKG 240. they are ok.
Some things to add here..
You can make the "right" sound with your headphones, it´s all about knowing your gear.
you can make it on crappy computer speakers too.
And you make terrible sound on good monitors as well.
I´ve managed to get somewhat near the sound that I want to accomplish with just headphones.

Listen to released pro tracks, and compare, tweak, compare, and so on.. and just get to know your headphones inside out.

Oh.. And 1 year, I think is nothing. i have struggled, for at least 5 years to get somewhat close to what I want. I read somewhere on this forum that like after 7 years you can be a good psy artist.

I am still terrible at for instance compostition, and that I struggle with now.

cheers!!
