I bought this CD at the Chichime party, only to find that it is bad pirated CD. It was on sale in the Chill area, at what I thought looked like a legitimate place of sale. the tracks do not relate to the actual tracks on the CD. For example the first one is listed as Scientific Reality by Astrix and Atomic Pulse. It is actually a track by Bamboo forest. The quality is even bad (+/- 128 kpbs). This type of thing not only harms the artists themselves but also gives any newbies a bad impression about trance.
I bought two other legitimate CDs at the party which were excellent. I like to buy CDs to try and support the scene, 'cause I know so many who simply download and copy. But RESPECT man - please!

So if any party organizers see this please poltiely ask the seller to refrain, and any who read this to not buy the CD when seen on sale.

PEACE

That is so bad, and you are one of the people that actually keeps the scene alive.
I hope this doesn't happen again and i think
that you should contact Chichime and find out who was selling these, and also just to
let Kristian know, as i know he will not be happy about this.

This really does stink, this is the type of shit that makes me think why bother... why should an artists spend months creating and why should label bods work every day to promote, distribute and day to day admin to see some guy rip mp3's and sell them!

Thanks for warning people!

i never buy cds at parties, so no never knew.
why then if this has been happening for a while do the promoters let him set up?
It is damaging to a very fragile record market.

Ban please!

ALOT of illegal stuff can go around stalls, especially at festival markets. Their is no way of preventing this, apart from the customer looking out for himself.

yeah ok I see it's hard to stop at festivals. But at club nights all the promoter has to do is have a little walk in the chill-out and have a look at what CD's are being sold... then make them pack up if it's illegal. It's not hard! The promoter has got security to help also. It really wouldn't be that hard... I helped promote parties for many years and don't see why this would be in anyway impossible.

I think maybe the promoters don't care that much because it doesn't effect there pockets

Don't really want to get involved in this but I think the CD in question is probably his own mix CD rather than a ripped album so would be hard for the promoter to know that the CD contains pirated music. In the end he's just making himself look bad... The only other CD's he has generally are genuine Phantasm ones. There are other issues as well but this isn't the place.

There was only about three stalls that night selling CDs. It wasn't one of these big parties, but an indoor small event - if you can call St. Matthew's Church small. But he was clearly selling with a tables and two sorts of CDs on the table. He wasn't selling anything else, and a casual walk around by party organizers would have clearly seen this.

To: Party Organizers:
If I see this again, to whom should I address my query? Security obviously are not interested - people on the desk? People at the bar?

Bought some excellent Cds at Fullmoon. Was cery careful and full of questions when I bought.           Smile, its a new day!
