i like it.
great production and great locations.
new zealand was the best place to film it.
and peter jackson did it good.
i liked the first better cause it had better story.
but the second had amazing fighting scenes and of course golom who made it amazing.

Great Cinematographic work on both first movies but i slept thru them both and woke up occasionally to check if the plot surfaced yet.
I was so tired in the end of the film so i actually like i was a part of the cast.
It's like reading the Bible for me. It's a very good book and a very important one but very boring and doesn't talk to me in my language.
Sorry.
Am i too dumb to dig what is the big deal?

the books are better, the movies do their best to do justice, but must fit the idea into a 3 hour borathon with little or no explanation to the significance of certain characters and their actions; family trees, history and such is barely mentioned... also in the first movie, the great battle with Sauron rising and smacking people around and then having his finger chopped.... it should be Morgoth and it actually took place in the 2nd era, during "The war of the jewels". i suppose when you adapt a script into a movie some changes have to be made, i dont think this movie could have been executed better by anyone else except this production crew, so i'm not slamming it, and i will pay the 10$ to see it when it comes out, and be bored and upset by the end...

surrender, you're confused about the sauron thingy there...maybe you read Silmarillion way too fast hehe
the battle between Sauron and the last man-elf alliance did indeed take place, long after morgoth was gone...and indeed sauron had his finger chopped there...
i'm not really sure we're you can find this on the books (most likely in the final appendix). but it is a close representation of the story.
the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.... |

if i'm not mistaken (i aint got a copy of the Silmarillion at home) what happened in that battle was that Morgoth's hand was chopped off...
ps: I'M A HUGE FREAKING FAN OF IT ALL - LOVE THE MOVIES, LOVE DA BOOK.
the scene at the end of the 2nd one, when they ride over Helms Deep is one of the most amazing fight scenes i've ever seen in my whole life...
