I've been making NRG and hard trance for a while, but I really want to make goa/psytrance. I'm not sure where to began though. I guess this is a stupid question but how does goa differ from other trance styles? I mean coming from the prospective of making nrg and hard trance, what elements if any are the same and what differs?

listen to old school goa or watch the religious or cheesy india movies that have lots of musical, listen to the melodies. play some notes of these melodies on your keys, granulate or(and) arpeggiate them, twist a little, apply it to your hard trance background after being flexed and warmed and tweaked (such delays in some area like mubali says) and dinamically run. thats just my vision. i never made a serious one
oh yea, if you pick some of indian voice or song samples, make sure to ask indian peps what's the meaning of these words, this could be important
