One of the reasons people prefer to receive the advice privately is because the tracks are unfinished. They've taken a track as far as they can on their own, but they'll do some more work in response to my advice and guidance before publishing it online.

@Kim Lajoie
Hi!
I think you are missing the whole point here. Psytrance isn't about the music, it's about the spirit of it, the freedom and the tribe. Of course music evolves money, but advice shouldn't be paid for, it should be given.
Try going into the workshop section and give your advice to other people.. I bet it will make you feel good

Knocz - I think Kim Lajoie sees an opportunity in the musical ... um... simplicity. Perhaps he wants to sell some competitive advantage to producers who want to tailor for crowds that like the musical aspect?
The advice on this forum, being public, simply makes everyone sound the same. |

Knocz if you spend a few deacades producing/creating music or in the music,than you'd see such things different
The utopia is nice though.
Although forum is forum and should stay sober imo.
Also this forum would not exist,if it was all here for paying .So simple.

@Kim Lajoie - Yeah good on you. Its a good idea. I would love to hear more musically integrated and well composed trance.
U do realise that hippies don't have any money right? Which is why they pirate all published albums, beggaring the artists?

PoM - agree that advice is not talent. But then talent isn't everything either. 1% talent 99% work. And advice sends you in time saving and challenging directions that get you more bang for investment. |

I'm a believer in the tribe. The www was a boring place before communities like this started taking off.
Of course, now there are zillions of forums and even more people who post their tracks looking for advice. I'd love to be able to help everyone, but I simply don't have the time. But I'd like to help some people, and I'd especially like to provide time-intensive high-value help that isn't feasible on forums. And with 20 years of music behind me, I think my advice has some value. ;-)

Good for you, Kim.
Don't let anybody discourage you. If not on this forum, somewhere there will be somebody, for whom your teaching format is exactly what they need.
Good luck. |
