well let me tell a bit about the major companies and one big conspiracy..
the best md's imo are the sony-50 and sharp 702
( both reliesed at the same time ) after both companies discovered their products dont have any problems dont get spoiled or fucked up ( hence loosing millions cause people dont fix them..)
they started to make much more delicate machines.
that get spoiled.
oh both md's that i mentioned also have the best sound quality imo.

I have the sony mzr-700pc for about 5 month and im very hapy
i can record 5 hours on 1 md and i dony have ANY problems.
but i think the best is mzr-750pc, its much better and now sony came out with new colors(red, green, yellow) and its gr8!!! |

You think mz-50 has better sound quality that mz-r900 ..heh

mz-50 has a very old atrac codec in it..
mz-r900 has a very new atrac codec in it..
the battery life in mz-r900 is most likely atleast twice as big than in mz-50..
I don't know about the durability..(is this the right word???)
Let's just say that mine isn't broken.. then again it's only like 4months old
