in my opinion you are engineer if you study and understand every parts of the course.
don`t interest the time of duration. . .only what you learn.

Just wanted to clear somethin up:
What is called Sound Engineer in Europe and US is called Sound Technician (Technay haklatot) in Israel. You don't have to learn Physics/Electronics/Computer Science to become Sound Engineer.
In most of the schools in Israel you don't learn to build your own hardware synth but programming it's sound. And offcourse the most important thing is to understand the the sound technology on USER level and the better schools also teach you basic musical skills (Notes, Solfage and all that stuff). In the 60's most of the Sound Engineers were having a degree in Electronics and new how to build Amps and Mixers. But today for the good and for the bad, you don't have to own this knowledge to succeed in the job.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Well, it's a difficult issue, cause it all depends on the person who learns. If you love it and put effort in it, you'll master everything you want to master. This Sound Engineering is not that hard thing to learn. For god's sake it's not rocket science. It's all about having a good ear, pair of hands a back if you work in PA and a lot of luck. The Experience is the thing that makes you a good engineer and its true for about 95% you can learn in life.
And offcourse Vitamin P which is a very vital vitamin in Israel.
Don't exagurate. There's alot of stuff to learn but, hey it's not that hard

when u finish this school u become technician or something better but not engeenier

there are many sources to study in sound aka accustics , dynamic ranges , pressure functions and other shit don't know !!!!

but in these school u learn a little about these things in two years u can't reach 8 years study!!

and Pavel dear , don't live in dream that u will be a sound engeenier after two years of study in tel aviv or emek israel

only in England ,Germany and USA and there u leard what i said 8 years or 4 years
differnce is the paper u get at end !!!

superG u R not right!

ya,learning is bad it's harm for your knowledge,it's take your brain to lower level,
and you become dumb in the end....
what the f*&&^*^ you talking about,
the man is doing the right thing to do for reach the knowlege he need,
dont say things that you dont familiar to,
in his school that you so disscust with there super super courses that give you information even if you will read the recording thecniuce for 10 times by your own,the tips that you get from ppl that work in the sound indusrty for 20 years or more cant be refer to any thoghts that you can up in your mind about how to come the king of sound thecnicue, and let me tell you something about 4 years sound engeneering it's a differnts studing progrem than sound thecnicain, you dont study prodection curises you dont learning post prodection, you dont learning recording tecniks, you dont learnig audio streaming and copmressing for broad casting, you certenly dont learn midi and progrem setting, and the most importent thing you dont learn it's sound design -the art part of the sound indesrty,
bottem line-dont tell pll that to learn sound here it is a waste of time couse it not every thing you learn it's good and about money if you after army the first year cost only 2000 nis that price you cant get in any school here or abourd.

BTW this "Modern Technique" book is shit. You can't learn anything seriously with it. It doesn't gets you too much inside the equipment.
Another thing i wanted to mention is the approach of some ppl that think that if they learnt Cubase and Reason they can be considered Technicians, which is so wrong. Music Production is so much more. Just think of a proper mick placing. Such a big headache, or calibrating the right levels of recording, and compressing, and proper monitoring...
shit man, i'm tired           Everyone in the world is doing something without me
