throw ur money out of the window, its faster spent like this. u want to make the electronic producer school?? too much money for too much things u could too easily learn alone with a manual @ home . or the sound engineer?? well, this is something different...but there you dont learn about making music at all.

indeed, glue, its not all bad about it....some good is that u get the software for a smalle price (hehehehee) and u learn from real pro's....but i wont pay so much money for learning cubase and reason...if they would learn some pro tools system, it'd be worth the money...imho

some knowledgeable and friendly people from our scene should run courses on how to make tracks..ie/ bit of sound engineering, bit of applications, and a heavy emphasis on making tracks- how to use synths/ samples properly to create rythmns, melodies, noises, using midi patterns and all the tricks of the trade.. I am sure a lot of eager geeks like myself would go.. they can earn their bread and we can gain the vital info which would other wise take years.. now wouldn't that be nice!

Hey Jonathan, i can recommens you the school where i learn. It's Sapir in Sderot.
We have 2 Years of intense studying which includes a lot of topics related to Sound/Post Production/Sound for Picture and lots more.
PM me if you want more details.
But if you've got some money in your pocket than go to SAE in Germany or England.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Worldwide? Not really. It's quite a real study. 5 days a week, 2 years.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

glue: u know can make very different courses at SAE. (remember i can only speak bout the SAE zurich).
there is the eelctronic music producer....there u learn software techniques only with some harddisk recording etc...on logic, cubase and reason.
then theres also the sound engineer course...there u learn about recording, and mastering. it means, when u made this course, u are able to work as sound enigneer, means making masters and so....must be very boring.
there are also some grafix/new arts courses, but i dont have infos bout that....,

you are wrong glue!
Inform yourself!!!
The SAE school is like Anakoluth said(have courses of sound technician, sound engineer, etc etc. . .
And the courses of sound engineer aren`t so long like you said!
One course of sound engineer is 4 years of study. . .

first of all thanx to all of you
my plan is not to learn cubase and logic cause im already learning this stuff from books and playing with the software.
learning pro-tools is abit difficult for me right now cause i dont have MAC.
the reason i need school is cause i think that being an artits this days is not the best way of making a living unless im a blonde pop 17years old singer so i have to learn something and get a degree and i prefeer learning sound production and all releted stuff then going to medical school
