He really works as a painter...There is not boundaries between the differents arts: music is painting, painting is singing, singing is writing..........and so on.
The best way to go forward is to be into a total unstable state...even if you fall, you go somewere...

I think there is two ways to be a Legend .
To make something that done but much better .
To be something that never done before .
This would sound gay but i don't care .
ART is expression of creativity which can come at any form of it . |

Art is just a word, meaning "something never done before, something fresh and new".
Thats why pretty much all music and visuals are art in a way, since its very hard making a picture or sound 100% exactly the same as another.
The word "art" in Latin means "new".

The word Umek in Arbic means Your mother , while it is worldwide known techno act .  i know .....
You should look at painting fakers , these guys who fake Van Gouge or Dali pictures and sell them as original artists while many critics can recognize the fake , even colors are matured .
Same thing in music .
I like metal music and listen to it for long time and alot so once i met some guy who gave me some song by band caller "Four" (unknown american metal band) and ask me if i know the style , IT was pure Metallica style , copied one to one , just in different notes .
Most of humans can't recognize such differences while "faker" is good .
Praecox , at the end we will know all music freak coz of you . Once you give us most underground techno project of Neil L and Tobias S , then this Japanese freak ........................ |

I wouldn't really call Merzbow very underground.. He's quite a celebrity in the experimental music circles. They even sell his CDs at my local record store, unlike psytrance.

I saw this paintin exhibtion by a local artist in SoHo..(on the street actually...u'llsee why!!)
..it was a naked Mona Lisa ..and it was aptly dubbed "Mona Teaser".. ..maybe this is not really relevant..but u can imagine the look on my face..  .ive learnt to appreciate art early since my granny's a famous indian artist..and this just was too crass...
another paintin was the famous "Portrait of Adeline Ravoux"(in which she ws undoubtedly naked again) and was signed as Van "HO"
