Can someone explain how to use it? I have plugged a microphone inside, but nothing. I tried pressing the notes while talking to the microphone or turning the knobs but can't hear anything. Any suggestions?

Haven't used XT in years... But possibly try looking at your oscilator settings, as 'ussually' with hardware synths substitude the 'audio in' for a oscilator.

My best guess, without being for sure...

As default the input is turned off... To turn it on, enter the oscilator section. I've had some problems too, because it seems the signal on the input is always very weak - there are settings for this, possibly in the utility/global section.

When the settings are right, you still have to play notes to hear the input

Thanks, I'll give it a try. About the weak singal. Is it a good idea to plug the microphone into a mixer first and then into the Waldorf so that I will boost the signal, or is it a bad idea cause I may damage the Waldorf?

UIU: No, that is normal. Microphones need preamps and I don't think the XT has one. So you are right about using your mixer to boost the level to a line level (what the XT wants).
