There is a patch for Reaktor that was done based on the q but you should realy work hard on the sound to make it close to the real one ... |

Reaktor is great for weird sounds, but doesn't come close to anything like the Q

get it second hand, the midi-implementation is great on waldorfs, u can litteraly control everything and use it almost as easily as a VSTi, and with no latency... And they shouldn't be too expensive either these days And ur cpu will thank u for it |

My CPU keeps complaining. And it isn't for want of hardware synths but I mix soft and hard synths. Not to mention samplers and more effect plugins than you can shake a stick at! There is never enough cpu power.

PS: MIDI has latency! |

No, Waldorf company was thinking on Q TDM development (for ProTools - something like Virus TDM), but the company got the insolvency before that. If you like the Q sounds, you can buy the Micro-Q that has the
same engine (on Ebay it costs about $400).

11 ms.. thats how they check in the olimpic games if someone start b4 the shot.. if u went ahead less then 11 ms after the shot then its rerun..
and midi have little latency if alot of synths connected with thru .. if u play only q and nord (as i do here) its ok.. and anyways whats the problem with quantize??

What do you mean tsabeat? Quantize the notes you have played? It will still play back with a slight latency ... Not much but enough to slightly change the groove if you have a software sampler playing the kick and a hardware synth playing the bassline. It is minute I know but still.
Pavel: Yeah but everything goes through your ears and brains so it all has the same latency. That isn't an issue.
