i have Waldorf Q rack. and i also have a card that contaign presets.

question : can i upload the presets on a Waldorf Micro Q ? without loosing the exact sound ?

dear arie!!!!

well if u want to use those sounds u must rewrite the existing sounds on the microq
u can copy the sounds on the microq to files and then use the new ones...

Arie - i think it won't work, but maybe this depends on the sound patch - if the patch uses additional hardware/software etc. of Q that are not in ìQ - there can be troubles.
1st:
dump your memory into a midi dump file before u upload the q patches into ìQ

if u have some particular patch u want to try i think u should simply try it.
in the worst case - edit the patch with a hex editor manually.

The micro Q has less oscillators, no? Well in that case, it's impossible. Unless you're not using the extra features the Q got.

I believe it is possible. I'm not sure what happens though when you change from uQ to Q patch when you are using hte PPG filter. the only difference(besides for DSP power, which limits polyphony), is the sequencer, and PPG Filter. So i think patches using them get buggered.
