in my opinion there are smoother filters than this one and there fore I am not sure I would recommend it... Has some crazy possibilities of ring modulation and lfo and if u know how to use it can be very useful.
I prefer effects that do 1 thing at a time ( most of the time / like in life ) so blue filter / zap filter does the job as a filter
