Hi
As alot of new producers i have some major problems with the percussion. I just got my first real software for drums, "waldorf attack". I just don't know if the existing kits in WA are enough. Are the kits no more then a "get started" resource or is it possible to make the existing sounds unique in every track by using both internal and external effects
(beginner-level concerning that as well)?
Sorry for my horrible english...

Use samples! Battery 2 vst + audio. Mess up loops and strange percussive stuff. Waldorf attack is not enough, in my opinion

Yeah, but how do i get those samples? Is there any particular CD or bank that anyone can recomend?
Of course i have som external fx but i thougt that WA was enough as VSTi.

if you have reason it has some good drum samples. also 909 drum samples are good. for the kick try using soundforge (there's a tutorial on how to make a kick here just search for it). and don't forget that processing is as important as the samples to get your track moving

Check out NI synthetic drums (Volumes 1 and 2). The best sample CD I've ever heard by a long way

Waldorf Attack is quite cool but I can't really imagine using it directly in a track. The synthetic drums CDs have some very similar sounds.

But could Synthetic drums be used in a pro production (altough i'm far from there yet)?

there is a load of free drum samples on the net. just try to google for drum sample archives, and you will soon fill your disk up with samples.
attack might be enough for percussion, since you can do amazing things with it, it is still the ultimate percussion synthesizer (along with microtonic of course ). i use a combination of dr008 (mainly for synthesis), and battery2 (for samples) and that combination kicks ass - of course, without 400 mb of percussion samples, it wouldn't kick ass           http://myspace.com/voxproject
