Hello !!
I'd like to know if anybody around has this record.. i've only heard three 30's samples yet which were quite interesting !
Just wanted to read a few words about this new album from Luke Vibert after three years, before deciding to buy it or not.. (so many good things, it's sometimes difficult to choose according to your budget..)
Thanx in advance !

I don't like it as much as "Musipal", but it's still very nice. More hip-hop influenced I think. Great production standards & some good grooves, but not as quirky as the last album. 8 / 10
new Hadal Drop album on the way
if you don't have the last one get in touch |

every Luke vibert release is worth a few bucks, but i have to say that in the last few years he dissapoints me....
since BIG SOUP and wagon christ's TALLY-HO,
he did not release anything outstanding.
its not his only release lately though -
he released an album on warp called YOSEPH last year, though its mostly old tracks.
But alas, back to the topic -
new album is nice, though not spectacular.... |

mmm... this reply is not going to help you.. But i just had the urge to brag about that i'm gonna see both 'Aphex Twin' and 'Luke Vibert' at the same day in Oslo.. they are playing together at the Oslojazz 13 August.
I also saw 'Luke Vibert' live at the Roskilde Festival 2004.. And i was really impressed ..
*peace*

i will join Psytone's Live experience report, and tell you the LUKE VIBERT perforemed here in israel as well....
i saw him live in Telaviv a few years ago,
while he was touring with BJ cole on the "Stop The Panic" tour.
Not much people showed up,and it was in a small club,so the result was a great and intimate night...
he went wild on the TB303 and bj cole was doing his thing with haway sounds,it was Definitly a live experience...
about his music,
not a big loss u didnt get his new album,
but u Must have these in your library-
LUKE VIBERT - BIG SOUP(his best ever)
WAGON CHRSIT - TALLY HO!(amazing as well)
PLUG - DRUM & BASS FOR PAPA(killer D&B album)

i really like 'sorry i made you lush'
first track is great and happy, then there are two annoying vocal tracks (2 and 4 i think) which i almost always skip. the last two tracks are fabulous however, and make the album a good buy |
