Hi,
If you deal with a HUGE Library of Samples, you might appreciate a fast way to prelisten Audiofiles when it comes to sorting.
On OS X you have Quickview, you hit space and then the sound is played back, when you navigate with the arrow keys , the audio files are played back automatically.
On windows therefore, you have to double click each file... , less fun.
There are Audio Library programms like Basehead or Audiofinder for ultra fast Playback (low latency) and searching samples, but they also have a disadvantage, you cannot change the possition of the Sample in the filesystem when you are sorting them.
On the everlasting search to improve this dilemma (fast audition vs. full access to the files)
I found XYPLORER.
XYPLORER is a Windows Explorer alternative with low latency Audio playback.
The playback latency is even smaller than in OS X Quickview, and it feels more like browsing samples with Audiofinder of FLStudio, but with direct access to the file location.
Sorting, Moving Samples is now a breeze on Windows for me !
Some features:
* Tabbed Browsing
* Saveable Screensets !!!
* ...
Only disadvantage (against Basehead/Audiofinder) I have found is that you do not have a Waveform Display.
Probably you like to give it a try as well:
