for VSTs for psytrance kick, highly suggest Bazzism2 and speakafreak's free psykick

as for samples, there is an isratrance sample pack going around, tsabeat kick pack is very good as well....

can also learn how to make them yourself using pitch bent sine waves, there are a bunch of tutorials out there, look up "cosmosis 909 kick" and he shows you how to make one in zebra.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

for rolls i would use a sampler wich can set the velocity of the sample (battery for example).
playing a 16th roll with bazzizm will cause overlap.

i find that bazzism emits very subtle crackling every few 4 kicks or so, so i'd advise always sampling the kicks.

Best that I have used are Drumatic and Bazzism. Zebra and ACE and Tonic are also supposed to be good. Lately I have tried to explore the capability of Absynth to do kicks and I think it looks quite promising.

Absynth is really a kick ass synth, you can do almost anything with it. The user interface is just a bit too complicated IMO, but that is the price you have to pay for a synth cabable of doing almost anything (except it lacks some basic effects like reverb(.

People say that psy kick is good, and the user interface looks interesting. But I have searched Psykick from google for many hours and unable to find it.

I use psykick 4 exclusively to generate my original kick, which I only load into a sampler for pitching techniques.

Ableton Operator (a part of Ableton Live) is quite good for kicks
