Hey guys,

If someone gives you a cubase project and they used say Albino v2 and you have Albino v3. Or they used, Waves Platium and you have Waves Diamond. Will it still sound the same? Or should you downgrade to the earlier versions of those VSTs...?

i think even if you have (for example) albino 3 (version 3.5 updated, or whatever) and someone gives you a patch of albino 3 (version 3.0 ..earlier in any case) there is a possibility of even having problems with those ones too. (happened to me many times, last time with glass viper v.1.00 and v.1.10)

but there's no reason u must not try and see.

now i think that patches from completely previous versions, won't even open (patches i've made with discovery do not open in discoveryPro)

waves bundles in another story. they may contain the same exact version of eq, comp etc in 2 diffirent bundles..
