its the ' I ' after VST.
Instrument - like virtual Piano , Guitar , etc...
a Vst is usualy can apear like a plug-in (like: Silverspike Reverbe Vst)

VST - a plugin FX processors like: Reverb, Delay, Flanger and many more...
VSTi - an Audio Instrument - SoftSynthesizer program which can have multiple audio channels and many midi controllers. VST2.0
