in cubase sx, how can I use more than one preset from one synth?
when i try to do it, both of the 2 tracks plays the same program.
even if I load the synth in two diffrent slots.
please reply, I tried 2 figure this out by myself in the last 3 months & failed each time...
have a nice day

u just cant dude!
some vsti have more than one channels so you can do so but u can only play as much as the channels that opend on your mixer.
1 thing to do is to open another vsti. the 2nd is to export it to audio.

hey peyote i have been in the similar morbid situation with FM7... though I really did'nt dig into it...I moved to REASON...
but we have to sort this out coz if the VSTi gives u 16 midi channels & plays the same preset in diffrent VST midi channels..
now is the time to rewire VST & reason
& to meet up with some serious VSTi cronics
will keep the infO poSted... |

I've been having these problems even with vsts that create many channels in the mixer. If anyone knows how to use many presets with reaktor and pentagon, it would be great help. I've managed to do this with D'cotta. It was fairly easy, like hardware synths, just assign a different channel number to a midi track. But this doesn't work with pentagon and Reaktor. |

If the VSTi creates more than 1 channel in the mix, usually you can have different presets for each channels. Halion & Waldorf Attack are an example.
If it creates only one, then the solution is to open it as another VSTi.

hello everyone....
just can't undesrtand how to export vst channels into audio, the process should be the same as to record audio from my hardware synth...that I do without any problem... but no way with the vst channels....
even if I turn on the monitoring nothing can be heard......
I think it should be a problem of my soundcard, that doesn't support completly asio 2.0 ...
what do you think ? any suggestion ?
..... beside changing soundcard
boom! |

u can export audio mixdown by puting this midi channel on solo, loop it, & then in the file menu theres an option to make audio mixdown.
hope that thats what u're looking 4
