Hi all...
i'm havin' a little problem that i cannot resolve by myself..so...
i've been using fruity loops for a while..and now..i've been tryin' out Cubase SX...and i'm likein' it..the problem is that i cannot find a way..or if it is possible to aplly VST sen effects on MIDI Tracks...i tryied use FX's as in the Operation manual..the problem is that..when i'm in the VST Sendd Effects Menu..i can't select a BUS for it...it' just have the MASTER...(that think under the 'File' button)...and in the manual...is not a such thing as i found it..
Am I Doing anything wrong ?! or...can some1 help me out ? i'll be much apreciated...
Thanks u all in Advance...

Hi OptikoOl !
You are right, you cannot appply AUDIO fx
to MIDI tracks. MIDI informations are digital (Play C, play C#, Release C, ContinousControlleur(7, 120), etc.......) They are send to MIDI device which interprets them (no audio on MIDI cables only '0' or '1') and play sound on audio device
outputs. Some MIDI devices have integrated Fx processor or at least reverb and/or delay. You can control the effect send level (and sometimes other fx parameters) via special MIDI messages (Continous controllers or Sysex messages).
Workaround: mixdown your MIDI track to an audio track. Then apply VST fx to this audio track.
hope this helps,

if u have a fast computer + multiple inputs card,
maybe you can process your midi tracks in real time with VST fx: just feed the midi devices into the input and send fx on the VST inputs.
if you use the midi trax to play VSTis, then you better apply the effects on
VSTi outputs.
bom.
