hey guys.
everyone says, "I have all possible plugins!!"
please expand on this.
does anyone have a complete list of "all possible plugins" for cubase SX, fruity loops, reason??

reason does not support any external devices (except hardware;))... that goes with the vst's as well.
yeah. no vst's can be attached to reason. |

I agree with you Thujon... Not to mention most of the major hardware synths have been used to death several years ago, whereas people are making new vsts and patches for the really good ones on a daily basis.... Some artist still use all hardware, but the price of most software synths still beats buying a Nord or a Virus... Don't get me wrong, I intend on owning 1 hardware synth for that "signature" sound, but with the proper midi controller, you can do a lot of good things on a vst. Check out the Vanguard for sure, that thing is really powerful and has added an extra dimension to how I write my music and has completely changed my opinion on using arpeggios....

Listen to 5Meo Geo and GTN's advice.
I personally use only SX's native VST's (A1, VB-1), Battery and Albino.

I have no hardware synth and i don't really want to buy one, but if anyone gives me on i don't say no
I don't i need one, even not for the 'signature' like mubali said.
There are a lot vst synth, and you right master some and you will understand the most very fast.
It is good to know two or three very good, and to know how to archive this or that sound with it, but
i couldn't stay with only a few.
Try more, the principes of the synth are most the some, so it is nice to test new synth and get new sounds. This way i find sometimes new favourites
And if you like the Vanguard (i don't like it so much) check out the z3ta, this one is a beauty

i dont use any vsti now
only logic's natives
about vsti's .....i still use reaktor sometimes
but last 2 tracks its only logic samplers q and jp8000
hmmm what can i say....
i dont feel like using any vsti
even some pro stuff like absynth (q is able to preform verry high level of sound synthesis)
there is some fx vst'd that still owns me .....
still for clear sorce nothing beats the hardware......
maybe in the future (age of 64 bit cpu is here)
true it coast some $$$$ but trust me it worth it
and till then use any thing that make any kind of noise vsti
