the most use'd effect's on trance music and music at all are:
delay and reverb.

Distortion and Reverb are my favorites.
And extreme but short flanger always puts me a stupid smile on the face.

1.listen to some psy
2.listen to the things that happen to the sound
Does it echo? (delay) does it have an acoustic trail (reverb) does it sound grainy or warped (generally distortion)
3.play around on cubase or reason or Tools etc.
4.find combinations that sound similar...
5.Enjoy the learning experience

U all forgot Filters and pitchbend and i considder those very important
my fav's are antares filter and frohmage
PS: All Ohmforce effects are insane |

You need to try them all beleive me until you choose the ones right for you! In trance there are no limits like the least used effect for me would be the one most used by you! Depends on what you want to create and how! Go for it dude it's great to experiment!
