Hi... since i own a couple of small synths with almost no built in fx i was thinking in investing some in a couple of nice hardware pedals to enhace synth's sound but i was in doubt if this would be a smart choice and if quality in pedals is higher than digital fx?

Any brand recommendation? any fx in particular you might suggest? I was thinking a delay and flanger maybe.

Thx.

Guitar Rig is top. Apart of this in logic you can find great guitar amps too..really awesome where you can choose even the position of mic, what mic..fender algorithms of amps too, actually all of that known and really great sounding, even for analog purists and real guitarists this is a joy to tha fullest.
As for an usefull effect world for synthesis Guitar Rig is a universe of possiblities .Check it out maybe you'll like it too.Nice psyco delays there too.
edit-
Oh fuck now I see you mean hardware lol anyways Guitar Rig is better than any hardware I guess.

Guitar pedals can make for very fun playing around. If you have a bunch you can string them together and reconfigure at will. If they sound better is really a matter of subjective truth. Many boss pedals for example sound very lo-fi but sometimes that fits in the mix. Other times pedals only makes things more muddy. It´s hard (as in very!) to beat analog distortion and overdrive but many of the digital counterparts are more easy to stick in a busy mix (flangers, phaser etc.) For an all out jam session i sure would bring out my pedals, but i rarely use them in production these days (in need of a multi psu, as those suckers really do want power)           Mastering available here:

i think it`s great using fx outside of cubase. only problem is most pedals are mono......
but it`s fun to tweek and record live automations.
