Psilocibe, which do you use?
I use:
Polyiblit
Vb1(though highly overused)
Muon Tau Pro
Albino
Hydra
i think they can produce some nice basses, and its nice to shift source sometimes, i find many people use the same bass modul for lots of tracks, i think it´s nice to bring some other character to the tracks. To get a original sound, layer different basses is great..., but it takes some work to get it right.
ciao... |

folkz..... another vst for bassline thread ? you must be kidding me.
this is prolly the most talked about subject here - plz use search. it's just silly to see the same threads opened up all the time.

Coma Iblit is awesome and free plugin
all u better go to kvr-vst.com and search for free bass line vst and will find many intresting good quality synths
and about quality real bass can't be produced by vst with all respect to all vst creators
only as Te_nte said , real bass can be found only on samples cd's
|

Oh no, you are so wrong man, real bass cannot be reproduced with todays equipment.
If you want to hear a real bass you'll have to hear it live!
For me VB-1 is more than enough.
It's not what you use ppl, it is how you do it!

pavel i understand your excitement from vb-1.
you say that it is enough for you - what you describe enough. For me theres is no bass vst that enough.
as i know after vb-1 were released many many tools for bass creation - i bet that some of them are not so bad but even better than vb-1.
think about it. |

Whatever you may say about it,
VB1 Rocks!!!As simple as that...
Just like Pavel said, its not what you use, but how you use it that matters.
I'm quite interested to hear those snares you say you can put sounding better than VB1 Superglue...can you show us that?
Psilicibe, if you got logic try ESM also, you can get pretty fat basslines with that |

1.why should he show you up what he making with snares.
2.go and look at features of vb-1 and some other bassline vstis , check that all , dont know i found much more optional and rare sounds in tau , tritium,audiorealism,tbl,more.....
you right about how u use it , but once again like superglue said listen to some symphonic basses and you will understand that vb-1 is a toy near those basses. |

You totally misunderstood me.
I use VB-1 when i want to make a full-on track.
It's perfect for the sound i am looking for, it's easy to tune and it's bug free because it's SX native vst.
As for what i said earlier about "Real" bass i meant anything that was performed "Live" and was not processed in any way.
For example: You take acoustic bass and play with it. That's "perfect", after you record it either way, analog or digital, 48Khz or 96Khz it doesn't matter. It is not "perfect" anymore!
Yet, it's good enough for 99.5% of the ppl. I enjoy the music regardless the little things that you miss after the conversion.
