Help choose the new Isratrance motto and win Cubase 5 + lots of CDs!!!

As part of the overhaul the website is going through, we're doing a competition between all users to choose a new motto/slogan for www.isratrance.com website & community. You will have three weeks to post your suggestions and then we'll choose 10 options we liked the most (You can post as many suggestions as you like; In case of very similar suggestions we'll pick the first to be posted).
Then there will be 10 days for all of you to vote.
In the end we will choose the winning motto/slogan and the user that suggested it will get the first prize. Second & Third prizes will go to the users' favorite (if it's different than ours) and to one or two runner-ups.
First prize: An authorized full copy of Cubase 5 (worth around US$600) from our main sponsor BPM Sound and Music College, and 15 brand new original CDs from our sponsoring labels.
Second & Third prize: 15 brand new original CDs from our sponsoring labels.

Ppl, just wanna say a few words here.
First of all big big big thanks to all who contributed and made the effort here. While going through almost 50 pages of suggestions we were really moved by a lot of the posts, and it was great to see how this community means much to people. Some of the suggestions were really great and we loved them but just did not fit into what we need (too long, not catchy, etc.). Others were very very creative, but again did not fit in to what we feel fits in with the site (enough to say that those who'll make the effort can find pretty good album/track names inside). There were a lot of funny ones as well, so we decided to have an extra surprise vote for the funniest.
Picking a 10 for each category was VERY hard. We had to filter again and again, till we stayed with 10 and it was really hard letting go of some of them.
So- really big thank you to everyone who contributed!

if it's really about the community - you shouldn't have pre-filtered and should have let the community decide on it's very own ...
three suggestions from one user ... that isn't what i call equal chances ... wtf?!
it's maybe not such a productive post - but my personal opinion.
ps: i own cubase4 and most of them cds, too  |

Yo,
I have to say i agree with REALTIME, there should have been an overall decision made by the community on all the posts and 3 entries by one user seems a bit much, especailly as there was 48 pages of entries, seems a tad one sided to me.
Just my opinion offcourse, as an owner of Cubase 5 and all cds i dont need to win anything but it would have been nice to see a fairer process in place.

Oh, c'mon guys... there were 1000 suggestions at least, how do you make a vote for that?
Anyway, we said right from the start that we will choose the winner. This website is not only a community. It's more than that. We are the ones running it, spending few hours everyday on it, and we want to make sure that the motto fits our vision and what we do here.
As for fairness and the fact that there are few suggestion from some users- we chose what we thought were the best ones, and it has nothing to do with who suggested it.
I'm too old and been doing it for too long to be suspected of favoritism, I think. If I was innit for the money, to quote Zappa, this place would have looked very different, and I would be headlining all festivals and not sitting on my computer answering your complains.
Hope I made my point.

Does seem kind of odd that both lists show the same names at the top...In marketing you learn that people read from the top down, so it seems two names were emphasized.
Not sure if that means they were hand selected for a win, or if it is coincidence....
There were some really good selections up there that weren't picked though.
I already have cubase 5, so winning was not needed for me, but it would have been nice to see some up and coming soon to be artist win the DAW..... |

If Colin wins then thats great, his suggestions where worthy of being picked as where the others, i dont think anyone is screaming "fix" it just could have been handled better is all i think folks are saying.
Good luck to all those in the lists
Lets hope Colin doesnt win though, we wouldnt want his life to be over FFS !!
