Hey guys!...just have one single question!...
To make a long story short, I recently changed from Logic to Cubase, as I am a PC user u can probably figure out the reason why ;-)
...Anyway, I think the new Cubase is absolutely amazing in many ways!, but one single function I have not figured out yet, and its a p... in the ass, because I used it a lot in Logic...
Its about making Cut-up-voices (or synths etc...)
In stead of sounding "AAAAAAAAAAAA" is sounds "A-A-A-A-A-A" synced to the beat ofcouse..xtremely common effect i psy-music" you follow ???
Anyway...most of you probably knew the trick with trigging a noise-gate from another track in Logic...but how the H... do you set it up in Cubase ???
Would be a really big help!

search for the midi-gate plugin in cubase in the help file ... how to setup up a trk with the midi gate plugin and then route it to the desired vsti / audio track ............. its very simple and this plugin comes built in with cubase ....

Hi Saimon,you can use Cubase's internal Midigate but this one doesn't work really smooth,
If you like i can send you some freeware plugs they do this job better.

you can set up a sidechain like you did in logic...
its a bit different:
you need a key(trigger) and a program (that will be you AAAAAAAA)
first you route the trigger pre-fader to the left of a stereo group channel.
then you route the program to the right of that same stereo group
then you take waves stereo comp-gate
and with key you choose L-R,
now the left of the stereobus is triggering the right
