I hear a lot of psytrance tracks with spoken-word samples in it. Some of these spoken word samples actually say something interesting.
But, there is so much reverb/echo/filtering done on the voice that unless you are listening to it on headphones there is no chance that you are going to understand wtf they're saying.
So why bother searching for a cool voice sample in the first place if no one is going to be able to hear it?
Example:
I can just BARELY understand what they're saying listening to it on headphones. If I'm in a big echoey room with 100+ people chatting with each other there's no way.
An example of the opposite is Penta... every time he includes someone saying something, it's always clear and intelligible.

Sometimes a voice sample can be used an an effect without having to mean anything.

Plz at least use the OFFICIAL video, rather than some shitty rip.
Btw, it isn't about what is the sample actually is, it is what you hear that matters imho. Or what you think you hear. But each to their own. imho

+1 most samples don't make any sense anyway. If they do it is often cheesy as hell.

I think the use of the vocal sample in Tommy's tune is not bad at all.... you can hear it clearly and the same for 'space no more' .....
Just my opinion ...... voice samples are usually used to convey a message either relating to the tune / name of the tune / a feeling or just to add effects to a tune...... sometimes samples are used just because they are controversial, cool, psychedelics related or some famous quote - most often than not, samples are a gimmick but gimmicks like this do add value to a tune....
