Correct. In the US, according to the law even if you can't recognize it you have to clear it...
if you can't recognise it, it's not gonna be a problem, now is it ?

Movie samples has a powerfull effect on a dancefloor, especially if the sample is from a generally known movie. Cause if you hear a sample like "Ill be back" (etc), you will associate that with a past experience, and if it was a good movie, then you will have some of the same feelings towards the music.
A good example of that is GMS - Juice... The whole track is built on the theme from "Requiem for a dream", which is a killer movie... Its a good track, but the association with the movie does 60% of it, IMO...
I dont say you shouldnt use movie samples, they can be effective in getting out a message, but you can find SO many good samples listening to PODcast programs... and mostly you wont have to edit out baggroundnoise or music... www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

But what if I claim that I absolutely didn't know there exists such a phrase in a movie? That I just made it up myself but then SURPRISE, exactly the same words are used in a movie

The use of autotune on duvdev vocal is paramount.
Unfortunatly they don't seem to use this particular piece of miracle during their live show, transforming what should be a thrilling performance into a massacre
listen to the first verse from 40s to hear an exaple of what I'm talkin about.
Vocals on their record are not bad. Its best when heavily processed.
I welcome the concept, They should get a singer though.
Back on topic nobody really gives a crap about psytrance cause there isn't much money so you don't risk to attract to many lawsuit by using samples.
Recording in my opnion is more interesting than using samples. its whole different experience.

OMG that wasn't pleasant AT ALL! His vocal ability is somewhere around average if compared with ALL PEOPLE ON PLANET EARTH... Why doesn't Erez just tell him he can't sing??
Ah I've been rude now... IM have my full respect for the tracks they did back in te golden days. They've made me fly many times
