Hey psy poeple!
i started on a project for a remix competition last friday. The original track is some housy pop stuff, that i'm trying to turn into psytrance, but im having a hard time with making some vocal percussion interesting.
Does anyone have some idears or tricks for this purpose?

okay, i mean percussion made out of vocal samples. i got the samples with the remix competition sample pack from the original track. they just seem boring atm, but i guess it's just because i'm new to the whole producing thing . only been making psy for the last 5. sry if i come of completely stupid ^^ (demoniac)

if not beatbox then all i can think of is the "vocal percussion" you hear in some infected mushroom tracks. you know "ba-da-ba-be-pow" etc
and that would be achieved by chopping different samples and giving it a nice rhythm.
please, give us an example

lol, with compressors you can get a percussive sound...
intresting idea to use this on vocals. but i think i missunderstand something^^

the original track. The "Vocal Perc" starts at about :18 . its a girl saying "aah uh".
i put some distortion and Trash' box model on, and now it sounds pretty decent and fits my lead, but thank you for your help

Hello! I dont think "the sound" you looking for gooing under "perc vocal" samples.
U can find those vocal samples in alot of packs. Packs like: vec have those and also nuborn psypacks have them. small words like "Aaa-a-a-a-a" Oh-o-o-o-o. try search around for small vocal samples. in some few days i could send u some..
