A new version is available for download free of charge.
http://www.access-music.de/downloads.php4?product=virustipolar
TIOS 2.0 is a combined feature and maintainance release. The installer package will update your Virus TI hardware, drivers, Virus Control plug-ins and documentation.
The new version features additional oscillator types, enhanced Wavetable synthesis and more wavetables. It allows you to see how expensive a chosen patch is and features Section Locking through Virus Control. Patches can be finally sorted by category and the onboard patch ROM contains addition 256 sounds by Matthew Stolley and Matt Picone. |

I wish they would also update the Powercore Virus.
Would be nice, since it's already a couple of years old. |

Free of charge??? I wouldnt expect Access Charging Virus TI owners for bug fixes and all. You should hear the nightmares and problems that most users had with VC mode.
I hope version 2.0 fixes all these issues.

HA-HA! I knew they'd get ya eventually.

haha, well i have been waiting years for the price of the used virus B to drop more but it just never seems to get much lower.
I didnt think the price made sense between the TI and the B, this update puts the TI into a totally new category, sickk!

I think the price of the TI makes a little more sense when you realize it is not just a Synth but a fully functional stand-alone ASIO sound device.
This isn't much use to people that have already bought a USB or Firewire soundcard, but for someone new that is jumping in to making music, it's a good all in one solution.
But yeah, it's still overpriced. Regardless, ME WANTEY

I wonder if this big update was released at least partly to appease their customers for the rather rought ride that many have had with TI.
Anyway it made me covet a TI. :argh:

Hehe... I haven't gotten a chance to check out the new update yet, I'll have to do that when i get back home... I honestly LOVE this machine. Sure it's quirky and isn't all it's cracked up to be, but the sounds it can make are great!

It's a very nice update.. New Oscs are cool. Mine is little more solid now, but still have some sync issues from time to time..

Installed it last week, and it's cooool! New osc's are awesome, but also like the section locking. And FINALLY they implemented the search by category in VC! |

comeon guys...how about some mp3s of the graintables and that crazy new bandpass filter...
do the grain tables sound very granular? I heard one mp3 so far but it didnt sound much different than just wavetable stuff. |
